This seems like a classic customer-centric campaign to me. I reckon people who love pies will love this. And people who don’t like ads they didn’t come up with, won’t. Does the line hark back to a more conservative bread-winner/home-maker time? Yes. This is good because, as a broad truth, people who work their bums to the bone every day do so to support their family. The purpose of their work isn’t to save the world, it’s to make their partner and family proud of them. That’s the motivation behind them working. It may not be a new truth, but it’s still true. There is still honesty and integrity in old fashioned values, even if those values are not yours.
